Short version: no accounts, no tracking cookies, no selling data.

What we store on your device

When you tap the heart, the product id is saved in your browser’s local storage so the Saved tab works. A random id is created alongside it so we can count how often products are saved. It is not linked to your name, email or IP address. Clear your saves any time from the You tab.

Analytics

We count simple events, such as which shelves are opened, which products are viewed and which retailer links are clicked, to learn what people find interesting. Each visit is grouped by a one-way code that changes every day and cannot be turned back into an IP address. We set no analytics cookies.

We also use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand overall traffic, with IP anonymisation. Google may set cookies for this. See how Google uses data.

Brand submissions

If you send us your products through the For brands page, we keep the details you enter (brand, contact name, email, links and notes) to review your products and reply to you. That page sets one short-lived session cookie so the form can be submitted securely. Ask us any time to delete a submission.

Social embeds

Some product pages show Instagram, TikTok or YouTube posts. These load from those platforms only when you scroll to that section or tap to load them, and the platform may then set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

Retailer links

When you leave for a retailer, that retailer’s privacy policy applies. Affiliate links tell the retailer that you came from Rare Flavours.
